FAMILY LIFE AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT- components of wellness, healthy choices, self-control, resolving conflict, etc.

NUTRITION- food choices, nutrients, healthy meal planning, analyzing food labels, benefits & risks of eating habits, etc.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND FITNESS- benefits of regular physical activity; skill related fitness, health related fitness, improving fitness, etc.

BICYCLE AND FIRE SAFETY- practicing of safe lifelong skills, value of smoke detectors & maintenance, plan details and escape routes for fire safety, proper helmet use, traffic safety, riding techniques, weather conditions

PERSONAL CARE AND HYGIENE- appropriate use of personal hygiene products, protection and maintenance of the health of teeth, skin, hair & nails, health of eyes and ears, consumer decisions

BASIC FIRST AID- basic first aid steps for choking, bleeding and treatment of burns

PUBERTY- physical, social, emotional and intellectual change, specific changes for males and females
